The name 'Unktehi' comes from A Native American Myth and means 'Spirit of the Water Monster' Unktehi is pronounced, '- Un-teh-he-'.

Five years ago I was looking for another dog/puppy, initially I was going to rescue one, I have always loved the German Shepherd Dog, we had them as I was growing up. I also went and worked in a German Shepherd kennels after leaving school. So, I guess they are my first love.
After spending many months looking at rescues, and applying for a few but getting disappointed, I noticed an unusual dog on the rescue page, the dog had been re homed, but it was the breed I became interested in, I was told it was a Utonagan. I had fallen in love. . . . . . . .
I searched the Internet for breeders, came up with a few names and contacted them. I had to travel 400 miles to meet the breeder and see her dogs, It was then that I decided I would have a puppy from her next litter.
On the 2nd of February 2004 , Blustag Wolf Star was born.
On the 6th of April 2004 I traveled again the 400 miles to bring her home.
And this is what she Looked like then. Her pet name is Echo.
